a logo story

Once upon a time... a frustrated artist wanted to own a design studio... she had a hard time pondering about the name of her studio... she tried different ones like: tala-larawan (photo album in filipino); portfolio; artist's canvas... until she came up with...

ARTISAN! (ar•ti•san a person who is skilled specially one that involves making things by hand).

And so the girl found a name for her studio... and now the problem is the logo...

(1st photo) and then this logo was created... the girl was looking for a cursive yet fun impression.

however, as she sees it all the time, she felt it was not the impression she wanted to look like...
So she changed it to a formal one (2nd photo) where it implies simplicity and clean. yet it means she's serious about her work... she was happy about it but feels that its not quite yet...

Time went by, she's still not feeling it yet... she felt, there something missing... suddenly she was inspired by typography... she ask for help from a friend in creating the logo... and viola... (3rd photo) was created... just the right one... where simplicity, fun and creativity combines...

And from then on, the girl is happy whenever she sees her logo...
